この器の誕生
The birth of this vessel
この器は手びねりによって成形され、
薪窯による焼成を経て生まれた。
炎、降り積もる灰、そして時間が、
ともにその痕跡を刻み込み、
一つとして同じ妖息は存在しない。
そのため、すべての妖息は、
それぞれが唯一無二の風景である。
This vessel was formed entirely by hand,
It was wood-fired in a traditional kiln.
Flame, falling ash, and time have left their traces.
Each piece is impossible to reproduce,
Every Yao Breath is a landscape found only once.
〈山林神隱〉
これは、深夜から夜明けにかけての焼成の、
ほんの一場面を切り取った記録である。
—
波段焼成。
最高温度 1273°C。
1050〜1260°C の範囲で三段階の昇温・降温を行い、
最終段階では 1245〜1260°C を 6時間 保持。
窯詰めから封窯まで、5日間。
ようやく日常の生活へ戻り、
無事に窯を閉じることができた。
このあとは窯がゆっくりと冷えるのを待つ。
窯開きは、およそ一週間後。
私たちを迎えるのは、
驚きか、それとも試練か。

窯の神々のご加護に、心より感謝を。
あとは、火と時間、
そして窯の神々に委ねよう。
〈 Hidden in the Mountain Forest 〉
This is a condensed glimpse of one firing session,
from the middle of the night until dawn.
A journey through a multi-stage firing schedule.
Peak temperature: 1273°C.
Three controlled heating and cooling cycles
were carried out between 1050°C and 1260°C,
followed by a final stage held
between 1245°C and 1260°C for 6 hours.
From loading the kiln to sealing it,
the entire firing process lasted five days.
Life has finally returned to normal.
Now comes the waiting.
The kiln will cool slowly over the next week before it is finally opened.
Will it reveal a pleasant surprise, or an unexpected lesson?
With gratitude to the kiln gods for their blessings.
The rest is now entrusted to fire, time, and the kiln gods.
一器一景

One Vessel, One Landscape
「妖息」は、
「妖物宇宙」シリーズにおける日常のための器である。
一つひとつ手仕事によって成形され、
薪焼成を経て生まれる。
それぞれの器には、
自然が生み出した釉の色彩と肌理が宿り、
まるで器の中で眠る小さな生命のように、
日々のお茶の時間を、
器と時間との対話へと変えていく。

陶芸における「景色」とは、
風景そのものではなく、
火と土が器の表面に描き出す自然の世界である。
あるものは山脈のように。
あるものは雲海のように。
あるものは夜空のように。
あるものは流れる河のように。

そこに見える景色は、
手にする人それぞれで異なる。

この小さな茶碗には、
自然の景色が凝縮されている。
どの面も、一枚の小さな風景画のようであり、
掌に収まる小さな器は、
持ち歩きや日常使いにも適している。
旅や日々の暮らしに寄り添いながら、
小さな風景をともに運ぶ存在となる。
The Yao Breath is an everyday vessel from the Yao Universe series.
Hand-formed and wood-fired,
each piece develops its own naturally emerging glaze, textures, and markings.
Like a small living presence resting within the vessel,
it transforms the simple act of drinking tea into a quiet encounter with both the object and the passage of time.
In ceramics, landscape is not a painted scene.
It is the natural world created by fire and clay upon the surface of a vessel.
Some resemble mountain ranges.
Some drift like seas of clouds.
Some open into the night sky.
Some flow like winding rivers.
Every collector discovers a different landscape.
Within these miniature tea bowls,
entire landscapes are compressed into the palm of the hand.
Each side reveals a different view,
as though every vessel contains its own small world.
Their intimate scale makes them easy to carry and enjoy in everyday life,
quietly accompanying their guardian through daily routines and distant journeys
—becoming a small landscape that continues to travel through life together.

万が一、器が思いがけず損傷した場合は、
作者のもとへお送りいただければ、
修復の可否を確認いたします。
作品によっては、
金継ぎやその他の修復方法による対応が可能です。
修復は作者自身が行い、
作品本来の佇まいを大切に受け継ぎます。
傷は終わりではなく、
小妖が新たな姿へと変化する過程の一部でもあります。
その痕跡は、
器の生命の一部として刻まれていきます。
小妖は、いつも身につけ、
持ち歩くことのできる護符です。
とりわけミニ茶碗、護符、妖符、茶寵は、
日々の暮らしや旅、散策や移動に寄り添い、
小さな風景をともに運ぶ存在となります。
どうか日々の使用を通して、
あなただけの護符となる小妖を目覚めさせてください。
If the vessel is damaged through accident or use,
it may be returned to the original maker for evaluation and restoration.
Selected works may be repaired through Jinshan (Gold Staple Repair),
kintsugi, or other restoration techniques.
Every restoration is personally carried out by the original maker,
preserving the character and spirit of the original work.
Within the Yao Universe,
a fracture is not always an ending.
Sometimes, it marks the beginning of a transformation.
A little Yao that returns with a scar
may simply have grown into a new form.
Let every scar become part of the vessel's life.
A little Yao is a talisman that can travel with its guardian.
Whether it is a Mini Tea Bowl, Talisman, Yao Charm, or Tea Pet,
it quietly accompanies everyday life—
through daily routines, journeys, and travels,
becoming a small landscape always in motion.

Some believe that when a vessel
that has accompanied its owner for many years suddenly breaks,
it has quietly taken the place of an unseen misfortune.
No one knows whether this is true.
But within the Yao Universe,
when she returns bearing a wound,
we choose to believe—
she has fulfilled an act of guardianship.
Restoration is not about erasing the scar.
It is about allowing that act of protection
to continue accompanying the years still to come.
